Lightwater Valley !!!

August 23rd, 2010

Except for those pesky flies we all had a great time on our day out. Only two people travel sick (must be a record) and the weather was baking hot when all around (especially in Blackpool) it was torrential rain. ‘The Ultimate’ was the ultimate even if it did mean queuing for a few minutes (well OK an hour or so) and the ‘Swans’ were as relaxing as ever.  Well done to JR for winning the form points. Whose turn will it be next year?

TALENT SHOW UPDATE

June 22nd, 2010

What a lot of talent we’ve got. 8JR’s  Talent Competition was voted on in form time and the three finalists performed live in school assembly. Ben Silverwood (LM), Kieran Ratcliffe (SP) and Megan Davidson (JR) all gave stunning (singing) performances, but the person voted as winner overall was Maisy Davies (SP).

Maisy wasn’t in school on the day but the following week played live for us in the hall, performing a beautiful solo piece for us on her violin.

Well done to JR and especially to all those who took part.

Well done Katie!

June 22nd, 2010

Katie Kinder featured in the Evening Gazette after being nominated for the prestigeous Quayle Award for local junior Sporting talent by the Commonwealth Badminton Club. She was one of the runners -up and it is great to see that her talent has been recognised. Well done, Katie!
