Welcome to ICT

The ICT department is a leading department within the school and regularly enables students to reach or exceed their full potential.  This has been demonstrated by the excellent results, both at KS3 and KS4, over the last few years.

The department currently consists of three full time specialist teachers and four non-specialists who assist in the teaching of some KS3 lessons.  There are three dedicated IT rooms, including an Apple iMac suite, in the school which are used by the department.  In addition to this there are six complementary IT rooms which are used by other subject areas.

At KS3 pupils are taught once a week and cover aspects of the National Curriculum in an engaging and interesting way (from solving murder mysteries to making games).  In KS4 students have the option of pursuing ICT further, studying a range of topics from business skills to sound editing.
