Once again the students at St George’s School have achieved excellent GCSE results in line with the school’s vision of being ‘Outstanding through consistent academic excellence in a caring Christian community’.

Mr Warnock, Head teacher, was delighted with the results: ‘The results that our students have achieved today are superb. Every student has worked incredibly hard and deserves their success. In a national context with grade boundaries and pass marks being pushed even higher, it is very pleasing to note that our students, once again, are beating this trend across many subjects.

Our results this year equal the best the school has ever achieved in a significant number of subject areas and are above the national benchmarks in these and I would like to congratulate the students on their hard work and dedication. I would also like to thank the staff whose expertise and tireless support of the students has helped us achieve these outstanding results. Our continued high performance means that more and more of our students are achieving higher levels of attainment and we wish them well as they start the next part of their educational journey.

Special congratulations go to the following pupils: Daniel Barber – Two Grade 9’s 5A* & 3A’s, Ryan Hill One Grade 9, 4A* & 4A’s, Darcy Beckett – Grade 8 & 7, 4A* and 3A’s, Courtney Wood – Grade 8 & 7, A* and 6 A’s, Elizabeth Baird – Three Grade 8’s, 4 A* and 3 A’s.
