On Thursday 26th April, Mrs Colson planned an excitng activity for some of Year 9. They watched a live screening of the Royal Shakespeare Company’s production of Macbeth, starring Christopher Ecclestone and Niamh Cusack.
Pupils were captivated by the performance, which was set in a doctor’s waiting room, with a huge digital clock on the stage counting down to Macbeth’s death.
More than 35,000 pupils from different schools around the country had logged on to watch and we were amazed when our question was picked out to be asked to the actors in the live Q and A session – fame!
Mrs Colson congratulated the pupils and said –
‘Well done to our pupils for coming up with such fantastic questions! Our question was – why are the witches played by little girls and why are they holding dolls? The actor who played Malcolm gave us an interesting answer! Pupils thoroughly enjoyed the performance and we will definitely be logging on next year! ‘
