St George's is dedicated to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all of our pupils, regardless of age, origin, background, belief, or characteristics. We are committed to providing a caring and secure environment, instilled through a culture of openness, collective responsibility, and our core academy values of dignity, hope, community, wisdom, humility, and kindness.
Safeguarding underpins everything we do in the best interests of our pupils. By ensuring a safe environment in which children can learn, we empower them to nurture their minds, bodies, and souls equally, enabling them to achieve their potential and experience 'life in all its fullness'. All staff have a vital role to play in this mission. Our teachers and support staff are always there to listen to any concerns a pupil may have, and they will take prompt, decisive action to ensure the matter is addressed.
In addition to strong pastoral care provision for each individual, pupils also have continuous access to our dedicated non-teaching pupil support workers, the Chaplaincy team, and our specialist school psychotherapist. Safeguarding and pastoral matters are reviewed on a continual basis to reflect the ever-changing developments needed for effective, wrap-around care.
Inspired by St Paul's call to be "devoted to one another in love", we encourage all members of our community, past and present, to raise any concerns - no matter how trivial they may perceive them to be.

Urgent Concerns: Please report any URGENT safeguarding concerns directly to the school or to the relevant authorities, such as the Police or Social Services.
